This page explains how the guides on ProCutOut are made, how we check them, how we use AI, how we earn money and how to ask for a correction. We would rather say plainly how we work than make claims you cannot check.

Who is responsible

Hardik Sindhav (Founder & Lead Architect) is the person responsible for the guides and tools on this site, and each guide carries his name and the date it was last verified. You can read more on the About page and reach him at [email protected].

What we publish

We publish free tools and guides that explain them. A guide either describes how one of our tools behaves, with the limits we know about, or explains a topic that tool users keep asking about, such as image formats, PDF sizes or how a loan is calculated. We do not publish pages in bulk, rewritten articles from other sites, or sponsored posts.

How we test

Where a guide gives a number, such as a file size, an accuracy figure or a limit, it comes from a script that runs our real tool or the same library the tool uses, on files we name in the guide. We build test files ourselves or use the sample files our tools ship with, and we say which. Results are saved with the script that produced them in our source code, and we will share a script and its results with anyone who asks. If a figure cannot be tested, we either leave it out or say that it comes from our engineering notes or from an official source.

Every guide ends with what we did not test. We do not invent results, statistics, reviews, quotes or personal stories, and we do not compare ourselves with other products unless we tested them.

Sources and fact-checking

For platform rules, tax forms and standards we start from the official source and name it, with the date we checked it, because these change. When an official page could not be opened, we say that the claim rests on other sources and should be confirmed. Before a guide is published or updated, its claims about our tools are checked against the tool's code and by running the tool, and its other facts are checked against the sources we cite.

Guides about money, tax, health or law show worked examples. They are illustrations, not advice, and they say so. Please check your own situation with the relevant authority or a qualified adviser.

How we use AI

  • Writing and code. We use AI assistants, including Anthropic's Claude, to help draft and edit guides and to write code and test scripts. AI does not supply the results: the figures come from our own tests and official sources, and AI-assisted text is checked against them before it is published.
  • Images. Guide cover images are drawn by a script from fixed templates, our fonts and our logo, and the figures inside guides are screenshots or drawings from our own tools. We do not use AI-generated images in our guides.
  • In our products. Some tools use AI models to do their job: Background Remover, Image Upscaler, AI YouTube Content Planner, PDF OCR, AI Logo Maker. Their output is generated, may contain mistakes, and is labelled where we present it as a suggestion. How each works and what data it uses is explained in the privacy policy.
  • What we do not do. We do not mass-produce articles with AI, publish unreviewed AI text, or invent authors, photos or credentials.

Updates and corrections

Each guide shows the date it was published and the date it was last verified. We change the verified date only when we have actually re-checked the advice, not when we fix a typo. If you find a mistake, email [email protected] with the page and the sentence. We check it, fix it if it is wrong, and tell you what we found. Fixes to factual errors take priority over new content.

Independence and advertising

ProCutOut is free to use. We pay for hosting through advertising in our apps and on this website's guide pages; we do not place ads next to the tools. Advertisers do not see or influence what we write, and we do not accept paid placements, sponsored guides or paid links. We do not use affiliate links. Because our guides explain our own tools, they link to those tools, and you should read that as us describing our own work, not as an independent review.
