Image at the size you pick
How to use
- 1Type your company or brand name and an optional slogan or tagline.
- 2Choose a layout arrangement (icon top, icon left, monogram, or wordmark) and browse icons.
- 3Select your typography, color palette, or set custom brand hex colors.
- 4Download a PNG at the size you need, an SVG or a PDF, or the brand kit ZIP (logo files, favicon, social avatar and cover, and a README listing your colours and fonts).
- 5Use 'Save design' to keep up to 10 designs in this browser and come back to them later.
Privacy: Your logo is drawn in your browser, and your brand name is not sent to a server. Fonts load from Google Fonts, which sees the font request but not your logo. Saved designs stay in this browser.
What this tool does
The Logo Maker builds a simple logo from your brand name. You pick a layout such as icon on top, icon on the left, wordmark or monogram, choose one of 451 icons or add your own image, and set the fonts and colours. Then download a PNG at 512, 1024 or 2048 pixels, an SVG or a PDF, or a brand kit ZIP with the logo files, a favicon, social images and a note of your colours and fonts. There is no watermark and no account.
Choose this when you want control over each decision. The AI Logo Maker gives you a batch of ready options to react to instead. Once you have a design, the App Logo Generator exports the sizes that app stores need. If your logo already exists with a white box around it, the Logo Background Remover can make it transparent.
When you'd use it
- A new small business. Get a clean mark for an invoice, a shop sign or a social profile while you are still testing the idea.
- Side projects and communities. A club, newsletter or open-source project often needs something tidy rather than something expensive.
- Trying out names. Seeing a name set in a real typeface helps you decide between a few candidates.
- A placeholder for a designer. A quick draft is a useful way to show a designer the direction you have in mind.
How it works
Your design is held as a set of choices: text, icon, layout, colours and sizes. The same drawing code renders it to the preview, a PNG canvas and SVG, so what you see is what you download. Fonts come from Google Fonts. When you export SVG, the tool embeds only the font files your text needs, so the file looks right on a computer without those fonts.
An SVG stores shapes rather than pixels, so it stays sharp at any size and is the format to keep. The PDF is simpler: it places a 2048 pixel image of your logo on a page, which is fine for documents and most print, but it is not a vector file. Designs you save stay in this browser, with room for up to 10.
Real results from our tests
These sizes are for the default logo, unedited. The SVG is larger than a simple vector drawing would be, because it carries embedded font data so that the text looks right everywhere. The PDF is the largest, since it holds a 2048 pixel picture rather than shapes.
| Format | Pixels | File size |
|---|---|---|
| PNG | 1024×1024 | 50 KB |
| SVG | Vector | 24 KB |
| 2048×2048 image on a page | 72 KB |
The default text-and-icon logo, unedited. Measured by running this tool in Chrome on 6 November 2026. Your files will give different numbers.
Tips and common mistakes
- Stick to one or two colours and one font. Logos must still work small, on a phone or as a favicon.
- Test it at a tiny size. If you cannot read it at the size of a browser tab icon, simplify it.
- Keep the SVG as your master file, and export PNGs from it as needed.
- Search for your business name in your country's trademark database before you print it on anything.
- Turn on the transparent background for a PNG that will sit on coloured surfaces.
Limits
- Icons come from public icon libraries, so other people can use the same ones. That can make a logo harder to protect as a trademark. A designer can create something unique.
- The PDF contains an image, not vector shapes. If a printer needs true vectors, send the SVG.
- Saved designs live only in this browser. Clearing your data or switching device loses them, so download anything you want to keep.
- It makes a simple mark. Custom lettering, illustration and brand strategy still need a person.
Frequently asked questions
- Can I use the logo for my business?
- We charge nothing and add no watermark. Before you commit to it, check that your name is not already a trademark, and remember that a logo built from shared icons may not be distinctive enough to register.
- Which file format should I download?
- SVG for anything that may be enlarged, and PNG for websites, slides and documents. The brand kit is best when starting out, because it holds both plus a favicon and social images.
- How do I get a transparent background?
- Turn on the transparent option before you export a PNG. An SVG also keeps it, whereas a JPG could not, which is why the tool does not offer one.
- Is my logo uploaded?
- No. It is drawn in your browser, and your brand name is not sent to our server. Fonts download from Google Fonts, which sees the font request but not your logo.
- Can I edit my logo later?
- Yes, on the same browser, if you used Save design first. You can keep up to 10 designs. On a different device you would need to rebuild it.
