The workflow is deliberately built around deletion, not extraction — a subtle but important difference. Marked pages turn red and fade instead of disappearing immediately, with a running count of how many pages are marked and how many will remain in the final file, so you can review your choices before committing. That matters most on long documents: it's far easier to spot the handful of pages you don't want than to click through every page you do want to keep, which is what a "select pages to extract" tool forces you to do instead.

Deletion happens by copying every page you didn't mark directly at the PDF object level using pdf-lib — the same category of operation a native desktop PDF editor relies on. Nothing gets flattened into an image and rebuilt, so every remaining page keeps its original text, fonts, vector graphics and resolution exactly as they were. Selectable and searchable text stays selectable and searchable; scanned pages keep their original clarity; forms and tables stay crisp.

Reading the file, rendering thumbnails and removing pages all happen locally in your browser using PDF.js and pdf-lib — nothing is ever sent to a server. That makes it a safe choice for contracts, statements, ID documents or medical records where you'd rather not upload anything, and it performs identically on a phone, tablet or laptop with no upload wait or processing queue to sit in.
