Web & Network Tools

DNS lookups, IP checks, URL utilities and web diagnostic tools.

Which tool do I need?

Quick checks for when something is not connecting, an email is not arriving, or you want to know where a server is. These tools answer three different questions, and picking the right one saves time.

Use My IP Address to see what the internet sees when you connect: your public IP, your internet provider and an approximate location. It is the one to use when a support agent asks for your IP, or when you want to confirm a VPN is working.

Use IP Lookup when the address is someone else's, for example one from a log file or a suspicious login email. It looks up the network and rough location of any IP or domain. Treat the city as a guess, because location databases are often wrong about it, though usually right about the country and provider.

Use DNS Lookup when a domain itself is the problem. It shows the A, MX, TXT, NS, CNAME and SOA records, so you can check where a site points after a move, or whether SPF and DMARC are published when mail keeps landing in spam. DNS Lookup sends the domain you type to our server, which queries public DNS.

Questions

Why is my IP location wrong?
IP location comes from databases that map address blocks to places, and mobile networks often route through a city far away. It's usually right about the country and ISP, less often about the city.
