Everyday money calculators — loans, EMI, interest, investment and tax.
Which tool do I need?
The loan calculators all use the same standard EMI formula banks use, and show the full month-by-month schedule so you can see how much of each payment is interest. Nothing you type is sent anywhere.

Questions
- How is EMI calculated?
- EMI = P × r × (1 + r)^n ÷ ((1 + r)^n − 1), where P is the loan amount, r the monthly interest rate (annual rate ÷ 12 ÷ 100) and n the number of months. ₹10 lakh at 9% for 20 years is about ₹8,997 a month.
- Does prepaying a loan really save much?
- Early in a loan most of each EMI is interest, so extra payments in the first few years cut the most interest. The home loan calculator shows the saving for a one-time or monthly prepayment.
- Are these figures exact?
- They match a bank's schedule for a fixed rate. Real loans can add processing fees, insurance or rate changes, so use the result to compare options and check the final number with your lender.
